Final Taking-Over Certificate for Hermosillo cement plant in Mexico
Beginning of 2008, Holcim Apasco awarded Fives FCB with a contract for the engineering and supply of a complete 3,500 tpd cement plant located in Hermosillo, Mexico. After the successful commissioning of the plant in 2010 and its inauguration in March 2011, in the presence of the President of Mexico, Felipe Calderon, the Final Taking-Over Certificate was signed by Holcim Apasco and Fives FCB on 14th of June 2012.
This cement plant features the latest technologies developed by Fives FCB to reduce energy consumption of the plant:
- The cement grinding plant is equipped with 3 FCB Horomill® 3800 and 3 FCB TSV™ Classifiers (4500 HF)
- The burning line is equipped with a 6-stage single string preheater with FCB low pressure drop cyclones, a precalciner designed for mixed feeding with alternative solid fuels, FCB Zero-NOx Preca, and a 3 piers FCB rotary Kiln
Following the successful completion of the Cartago 3,000 tpd complete plant in Costa Rica in 2004, this new project attests of the Holcim group's satisfaction and confidence in Fives FCB innovative technologies.
